We are looking for a TEAM LEADER for YACHT OUTFITTING (m/f) to join our team.

ABOUT US:

AITAC Group (www.aitac.nl) consists of two companies: AITAC d.o.o. (Croatia, Headquarters in Kastav) and AITAC GmbH (Germany). Our mission is Engineering Seagoing Challenges with three main fields of activity:
 
1) Marine and Offshore Engineering,
2) Consultancy and Support Services (3DEXPERIENCE platform)
3) 3D Laser Scanning services
 
Many years of experience in ship designing, especially in super yachts and cruisers, allowed us to grow rapidly and steadily over the past years. Our list of clients contains some of the most respected world companies in the field of engineering and shipbuilding.
 

Work location:

Based in Croatia (Rijeka/ Kastav), working worldwide (on-client site)

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering, or similar level obtained through experience in areas of Marine and Offshore (M&O) Industry
  • 5 years of work experience in M&O Industry
  • Experience in yacht design is especially appreciated
  • Relevant experience using at least one of the following 2D/3D software programs: ACAD, RHINOCEROS, 3DEXPERIENCE, AVEVA, CADMATIC etc.
  • Excellent English speaking & writing levels, other languages are a plus (e.g. German)

Technical scope may include but it is not limited to following:

  • Exterior outfitting items: gangways & passerelles, cranes, platforms, pools & jacuzzis, masts & navigation lights, stairs & railings, deck linings & deckheads, fixed furniture, niches, mooring & anchoring equipment, life-saving appliances, helicopter decks, etc.
  • Outfitting items in interior/ hull & superstructure sides: all doors and hatches (interior, exterior and shell doors/platforms), windows, sea-toys/tenders with cranes and appliances, underwater lights & equipment, lifts, ladders, arrangements of some interior spaces, etc.
  • Various items (including subjects to class and other regulatory body's approval), such as Structural fire protection plan, Fire-control and life-saving plans, Hazardous areas plan, etc
  • Exterior outfitting arrangements & exterior 3D model (all exterior items including lightning & other systems items, complying with designer's/owner's intents and technical requirements)

Responsibilities/ Tasks:

  • Responsible for creation of technical documentation for items within technical scope (for equipment purchasing, as well as for manufacturing and installation of certain items)
  • Responsible for maintaining client's resource management system for tracking all equipment components during project development
  • Responsible for management and supervision of engineering team (leading the group of 10 - 15 engineers)
  • Effective communication with other teams participating in the projects
  • Effective communication with clients, owners, suppliers, and classification societies
  • Ensure that project is delivered on-time, within the scope and within budget
  • Transferring knowledge and education within the team
