AITAC and VERHAAREN NAVAL ARCHITECTS open new company in France

AITAC, Marine & Offshore Engineering, continues its growth strategy to open up new European market. As of August 2015 the company started operations in France with the newly established company under French law, AITAC S.A.S. in cooperation with VERHAAREN NAVAL ARCHITECTS which is mostly involved in the naval architecture and design of yachts, naval and passenger vessels.

The main purpose of cooperation is to join partners’ knowledge, capacities, experience and brand in order to strengthen and increase their current position on the European market.

AITAC SAS vision is to become a leading partner in marine Design, Naval Architecture and Engineering for shipyards and ship-owners.

Thanks to its partners’ experiences and strong positions, AITAC SAS will be able to provide a whole and comprehensive design and engineering package for sophisticated type of vessels that are in line with new adopted AITAC M&OE mission – Engineering Seagoing Challenges.

To our clients, AITAC SAS will bring into play challenging and innovative designs, a skilful team of more than 40 engineers with lot of enthusiasm, motivation and commitment while enjoying seamless and efficient engineering by using state-of-the-art technologies.

Having now in our portfolio AITAC doo (Croatia), AITAC GmbH (Germany), AITAC SAS (France) with related engineering and design teams we have closed one phase of AITAC growth combining famous French innovation and design, well known German quality and Croatian work dedication and reliability with competitive price in engineering.

Verhaaren Naval Architects(www.tvan-france.fr) is an independent Naval Architecture and Design studio which was founded in 2004 by naval architect Thierry Verhaaren. For more than 30 years, Thierry Verhaaren has been designing fast military vessels, passenger vessels and yachts, including Destriero which broke the speed record across the Atlantic in 1992. He has acquired his experience of design, project management, shipbuilding and sea trials in several shipyards, in France and abroad. This knowledge enables him to design all types of ships requested by ship owners whilst taking into account the shipbuilder’s point of view. This also helps in managing projects to achieve a balance between the ship owner’s requirements and the shipyard’s industrial constraints.
